Bio

Simone Elkeles is the New York Times & USA Today bestselling author of young adult novels. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree from Loyola University-Chicago in Industrial Relations. She was president and CEO of her own manufacturing company before selling in it 1999 to start writing novels. Simone has earned numerous writing awards for her work and was named Author of the Year by the Illinois Association of Teachers of English. She is the author of the Perfect Chemistry series, Leaving Paradise series, How to Ruin series, and Wild Cards series. All three books in the Perfect Chemistry series have been YALSA Top Ten Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers. Teen readers have told Simone that her books were the first books they’d ever finished reading all the way through and turned them from non-readers into avid readers. Simone is a lifetime Girl Scout and can make a mean fire pit and s’mores, but she not too fond of spiders or snakes in her camping tent.
